Trees - ever fancied growing one in your garden, but worried about it getting too big? They're not all giants and our range features deciduous and evergreen trees for all sizes of garden. Some can even be grown in large containers on the patio.
Phoenix canariensis, Canary Island Date PalmAn exotic looking palm tree for a British garden! The Phoenix Palm can happily be grown in a pot or container and incorporated into a patio display or placed in a border for a touch of the unusual. Also known as the Canary Island Date Palm, this plant will have its height limited to approximately 6 feet (182cm) if kept in a container, however in milder, sheltered areas it may be suitable to be planted directly into the ground where it can reach up to 5m (16’) tall with a canopy of 3m (10’) which will look truly amazing. Also suitable for growing in a conservatory, this winner of a RHS Award of Garden Merit is guaranteed to please, wherever it is located. More info
