Eucalyptus gunnii (Large Plant)

Eucalyptus divaricata, Cider Gum, Ironbark

Prune this eye catching, hardy evergreen into an attractive shrub, or let it to grow into a magnificent tree. Young plants bear silvery blue foliage before producing more linear green leaves as the tree ages. Stems of eucalyptus leaves are excellent for adding to cut flower arrangements! The attractive flaking bark reveals exquisite shapes and patterns on the main trunk of mature specimens. Eucalyptus gunnii is fast growing and easy to care for, making an outstanding specimen plant. Heptacodium miconioides (Large Plant)

Seven Son Flower Tree

Heptacodium is an unusual shrub for the garden; it may look exotic, but plants are fully hardy and there are plenty of reasons to grow one in your garden. The late summer blooms are creamy-white and deeply fragrant, and even when they fall, they leave behind colourful, pink-coloured calyxes. The foliage is also attractive hanging in elegant pairs of glossy green leaves.

Heptacodium miconioides can be grown either as a shrub or compact, manageable tree in the garden, so is ideal for small gardens. Plants are quick-growing and easy to maintain. Height: 6m (20'). Spread 3m (10').

Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Korean Gold' (Large Plant)

Plum Yew, Cowtail pine

This slow growing conifer has a Yew-like appearance, with long gold-tipped needles that mature to green in winter. Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Korean Gold' is a columnar variety with a compact narrow growth habit that forms a golden exclamation mark in the garden! Commonly known as Plum Yew it enjoys a cool, moist position and makes a useful specimen plant for shaded woodland areas. It also responds well to hard pruning making it suitable as an evergreen hedging plant. Over time it makes a majestic specimen, but will require patience, growing to just half its mature size in around 15 years. Height: 3m (10’). Spread: 2m (6’).

Small-Leaved Lime (Hedging)

Often seen planted in long stands as avenue trees, the small leaved lime is also an ideal specimen for hedges and screening too. Small white flowers appear in summer white which stand out well against the dark green leaves, later the winged seeds develop in clusters as the leaves slowly turn yellow. Hawthorn (Hedging)

Often seen in natural hedgerows, Hawthorn is the perfect security hedging, its thorny braches form a dense thicket that is almost impossible to penetrate. Not only is the Hawthorn a great deterrent, it is a highly decorative shrub too, clusters of white flowes can cover it in late spring which later develop into bunches of bright red berries which are much sought after by birds.
