If growing outside, plant Phoenix Palm in a sunny, shelter position, free from frost. Best grown normally in containers that can be moved during the winter for best protection. Use a good quality compost such as Incredicompost® and place on a sunny patio or in a conservatory or large greenhouse.
Feed and water regularly until established, once mature, Phoenix Palms require less attention and can be drought tolerant. Use protective clothing when pruning or moving plants as can cause skin irritation. Use horticultural fleece to protect pots if cannot be moved indoors during winter.
