Sometimes known as the Japanese Spirea, this particular shrub is bushy and deciduous and bears rosy-pink flowers in compact clusters in summer. Spiraea japonica 'Candlelight' has soft yellow, ovate leaves, which can be seen from spring to late summer. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 100cm (39").

Grow Spiraea in a sunny position, in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil.
For best performance, prune flowered shoots of Spiraea plants immediately after flowering. Mature specimens can be cut back by a quarter of the old shoots to the base.
