Plant Cornelian Cherry in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full shade or part shade. Cornus is a very useful shrub, as it can also tolerate damp soils or an exposed position.
Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, they will require less attention. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
