Cornus alba 'Ivory Halo' (Large Plant)

Dogwood

Hardy Shrub

A beautiful white edge to the leaves of this Cornus alba 'Ivory Halo' gives it an attractive appearance in your garden throughout Spring and Summer, making it an excellent specimen for any shrub border or woodland garden. Creamy-yellow flowers open in Spring to attract many different pollinators and when Winter has stripped it of its leaves, the bright red stems still make this Dogwood a very desirable plant to have. Height: 300cm (118"). Spread: 300cm (118").

Grow Cornus plants in any well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun.
Feed and water dogwoods regularly until fully established. Once established, they will require less attention. To encourage plenty of colourful stems, Dogwood will need regular pollarding in early spring. Cut back all dogwood stems to 3 buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning. Caution: Dogwood berries are harmful if eaten. Irritant to skin and eyes.
