Chaenomeles x superba 'Fascination' (Large Plant)

Japanese Quince

Hardy Shrub

Chaenomeles x superba 'Fascination' bears its scarlet blooms on naked spiny stems from early spring. The nectar rich blooms are a valuable food source for early pollinators, making this a useful specimen for wildlife areas. In late autumn, a prominent display of golden yellow fruits creates an eyecatching garden feature that lasts well into autumn. Try making them into jellies and preserves as a tasty treat. This compact Flowering Quince has a neat rounded habit that will suit even the smallest of borders, or can be trained upwards as a colourful wall shrub. Height and spread: 150cm (59").
