Rose 'White Symphony' (Large Plant)

Rosa

Hardy Shrub

A delightful, small hardy Hybrid Tea Rose, this extremely robust variety is a great addition to any scheme. Rose 'White Symphony' will happily grow in a large container on the patio, but for best performance it is better in the ground. The fragrant, double white flowers initially appear with a yellow flush to them, but this soon disappears to let the crisp white shine through, these are set off to great effect against the glossy, dark green foliage. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 100cm (39").,

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Rosehips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late summer, begin pruning hybrid musk roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems by ⅔. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
