Scabious 'Kudos'

Scabiosa, Pincushion Flower

  • A cottage garden favourite, now available for the patio
  • You don't need borders to grow this perennial favourite
  • So many blooms we lost track!
We like to tell our customers how many blooms to expect from our plants, but when it came to counting the flowers on Scabious 'Kudos' we just couldn’t keep up! Expect a long season of colour from these hardy herbaceous perennial plants. These compact plants will be smothered in delicate pale pink blooms from June through to October. Leave the last flush of flowers to turn in to attractive seedheads for winter interest. Shorter than many scabious varieties, this cottage garden classic performs perfectly in patio containers and is ideal for attracting butterflies, bees and other pollinators to the garden. If setting Scabious 'Kudos' out in the border, make sure to give it the spot it deserves at the front of your display and enjoy it for months at a time, for years to come. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 30cm(12").

Fuchsia FUCHSIABERRY

  • Tasty berries and beautiful blooms
  • Brand new fruit high in Vitamin C
  • Up to 300 berries per plant each year
  • Unique flavour combining fig and kiwi
  • Keeps on flowering while fruiting

A brand new strain of edible FUCHSIABERRY from Thompson & Morgan's own breeding programme. Not only does the FUCHSIABERRY produce large sweet fruits packed with vitamin C and nutrients, it also produces beautiful blooms right through to autumn.

This fuchsia plant is the perfect addition to garden displays, but the heavy fruit yields make the FUCHSIABERRY a worthwhile addition to allotments too, helping to create a pretty and productive plot! Though frost tender, the FUCHSIABERRY can be kept through winter if protected in a sheltered spot or in a greenhouse.

The fruits have a flavour somewhere between a fig and a kiwi. Each plant will produce up to 300 delicious juicy berries, FUCHSIABERRY is partially self-fertile and will crop without a pollination companion; but for the heaviest crops it is best grown with other fuchsias.

Unlike other Fuchsia varieties it will keep on flowering even when producing fruit - right up to the first frost. The FUCHSIABERRY is set to change allotments and flower borders in the UK. Height 90cm (36"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Culinary note: Add the beautiful coloured flowers to salads, crystallise them for a sweet garnish or add them to jellies for an extra splash of colour. For more details about edible flowers click here.
