How To Sow

Reviews
Sow seed on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and place at 20-25C (68-77F) until after germination which usually takes 10-20 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Can be sown at any time of the year.

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. When well grown pot on into 15cm (6in) pots. Grow in a well drained, well lit spot with light shade from direct sunlight. Remove flower spikes as they appear to maintain the best foliage quality.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes etc are delivered at the appropriate time for planting and will be stated on the product page or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a P&P charge of £1.95.
Orders which include any other products will incur a P&P charge of £4.95.
Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products a maximum P&P charge of £6.90 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

    The colours of these plants were absolutely wonderful, and are perfect for the conservatory with T & M begonias. No problems at all with any pests or diseases. We open for the NGS Yellow book, and these were much admired!
