Duchess of Cambridge’s charity gets a boost

Thompson & Morgan donations total £42,000 with recent cheque

Thompson & Morgan is proudly supporting The Treehouse Appeal, a brand new hospice in Ipswich built by EACH (East Anglia’s Childrens’ Hospice) and officially opened in March this year by its Royal Patron, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge. In June, T&M; was thrilled to send a cheque for £15,000 to Greenfingers, a charity that creates gardens at children’s hospices nationwide and which is charged with designing and establishing a garden and recreational area outside the new hospice in Ipswich. This brings the total given by Thompson & Morgan to this worthwhile charity to £42,000.

The money has been raised through a variety of fundraising activities by T&M; staff. These have included:

  • • Cake sales
  • • Bedding plant sales
  • • Easter Egg competition
  • • Staff donations

Thompson & Morgan has also appealed to its customers for donations. Stunning Rose 'The One and Only' has been featured in a number of T&M; catalogues and on its website. £5 from the sale of each rose has been donated to The Treehouse Garden Appeal. Thompson & Morgan is proud to have been able to raise money for this very worthy appeal and other fund-raising events are planned. All the funds raised go towards delivering vital care and support for children and their families.
