A great all round performing hedging plant, Holly has just about every quality you need to make an effective boundary. The evergreen leaves will effectively form a permanent dense screen for privacy, the spiky edges to them will also make a good deterrent, berries in the winter add a touch of colour and give all year interest, plus the birds love them! Easy to grow and maintain, either formally or left to grow to give a more natural look. Supplied as 30 - 45 cm potted plants (12 - 18"). Height: 12m (39'). Spread: 8m (26'). Planting distance: 45cm (18"). (3 plants per metre for a single line hedge).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Plant Holly in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full sun or semi-shade.
More Info Feed and water Holly regularly until they are fully established. Prune young Holly trees and formal hedges in summer, removing any damaged stems and trimming the remaining growth to shape. In later years free standing Holly trees require very little pruning at all.
