Description
This hardy evergreen shrub is indispensable in the garden for its scented flowers and winter berries. Viburnum tinus 'Lisarose' is an attractive cultivar, bearing clusters of fragrant, creamy white flowers that open from deep red buds. The nectar rich blooms are followed by glossy black fruits. Flowering from December to April, this useful shrub makes a valuable winter feature at a time when colour is sparse in the garden. Laurustinus is particularly versatile - grow it in borders or woodland edges, or create a dense evergreen hedge that will attract pollinating insects. The blooms make good cut flowers too. Low maintenance and easy to grow; just perfect for bringing year round interest to borders or containers. Height and spread: 3m (10').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Viburnum tinus plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any moderately fertile, well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Evergreen Viburnums should be sheltered from cold, drying winds.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Viburnum tinus requires minimal pruning. Trim Viburnum plants in summer after flowering to fit the available space, or to remove any dead or damaged growth. Viburnum tinus can also be renovated with harder pruning in spring if they become poorly shaped after a few years. Caution: Viburnum fruits are harmful if eaten.
