Unusual white edged foliage make Philadelphus coronarius 'Variegatus' stand out from all the other Mock Orange varieties. The pure white, single blooms still carry the hallmark "orange" fragrance throughout the garden as you would expect from this hardy, deciduous shrub, with the additional benefit of the two-toned leaves to add extra interest to your shrub borders. Ideal as a stand-alone specimen too, this is an asset to any gaden. Height: 250cm (98"). Spread: 200cm (79").

Grow Philadelphus plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Mock Orange plants at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Philadelphus requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
