Lagerstroemia indica 'Rhapsody In Pink' makes a fine specimen for a sheltered sunny border or exotic garden. The showy pink blooms are borne in profusion from June right through to September. With a delicate, crimped appearance, the flowers create a fabulous pink cloud effect from a distance. Peeling bark and golden- orange autumn foliage give this majestic Crepe Myrtle yet more seasonal interest. Although reasonably hardy once established, Crepe Myrtle enjoys a hot sheltered position and is best grown against a south facing wall or as a specimen plant in the conservatory. Height: 4m (13'). Spread: 3m (10').

How to Grow

Plant Lagerstroemia in any rich fertile soil in full sun. Although reasonably hardy once established, Crepe Myrtle enjoys a hot sheltered position and is best grown against a south facing wall or as a specimen plant in the conservatory.

Feed and water Lagerstroemia regularly particularly when grown in containers. Crepe Myrtle plants will appreciate some protection from hard frosts throughout winter. Prune in winter or spring whilst dormant to remove and dead, damaged or misplaced stems and maintain a pleasing shape.
