Juniperus horizontalis 'Icee Blue' is one of the best prostrate conifers introduced in recent years. This well branched Creeping Juniper quickly forms a carpet of silvery-blue evergreen foliage that turns to plummy-bronze shades during the coldest winters. Reaching just 15cm (6") tall but with a spread of 2m (6',5"), this exceptional shrub is perfect for creating evergreen groundcover. Juniperus horizontalis 'Icee Blue' is easy to grow, needs virtually no maintenance, and tolerates a wide range of conditions - no wonder the RHS have given it an Award of Garden Merit! Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 2m (6',5").

Plant Junipers in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any well drained soil; juniper trees tolerate dry, chalky or sandy soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply.
