Awarded an RHS AGM for its appearance and performance, this Sawara Cypress makes a magnificent specimen tree. Soft, silvery-blue sprays of evergreen foliage cloak its branches which curl gently at the tips. During particularly cold periods this conifer takes on colourful bronze tones. Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard' will make a sizable tree at maturity, but its slow growth habit makes it suitable for even small gardens. Height: 800cm (314"). Spread: 400cm (157").

Grow Cypress trees in moist, well drained soil. Chamaecyparis prefers a neutral or acid soil but does tolerate chalky soils well. Choose a position in full sun.
More Info Once established, Cypress trees require virtually no maintenance. When grown as a hedge, prune Chamaecyparis at any time between late spring and early autumn, taking care not to prune into older wood.
