This pink California Lilac is sure to attract attention in the garden. A froth of pale mauve-pink blooms cover Ceanothus x pallidus 'Marie Simon' from midsummer to autumn, followed by attractive red seed capsules. In autumn, this deciduous shrub discards its glossy green foliage to reveal an upright framework of purple-red stems. With a bushy rounded habit, this medium sized shrub is ideal for the back of borders, trained against a wall or planted in wildlife areas where it will attract plenty of pollinating insects. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

Plant Californian Lilac into any fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold, drying winds. Ceanothus may be grown as a free standing specimen or trained against a wall or fence.
More Info During spring each year, trim back the previous year’s flowered stems to within 2 or 3 buds of the woody framework.
