This pretty California Lilac boasts masses of hazy pink blooms against a backdrop of glossy green foliage. From July to September Ceanothus 'Marie-rose' attracts pollinating insects to its fluffy looking flowers, which are succeeded by red seed capsules that extend the season of interest well into autumn. The purple stems of Ceanothus 'Marie-rose' form a medium sized deciduous shrub that makes a lovely feature at the back of borders or trained as a wall shrub. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

Plant Californian Lilac into any fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold, drying winds. Ceanothus may be grown as a free standing specimen or trained against a wall or fence.
More Info During spring each year, trim back the previous year’s flowered stems to within 2 or 3 buds of the woody framework.
