Description
The Milky Bellflower has long been a cottage garden favourite. This pretty cultivar bears a profusion of rose-pink, star shaped flowers from May to August which provide a valuable source of nectar for bees and other pollinators. Although not as small as its name might suggest, Campanula lactiflora 'Dwarf Pink' is certainly more compact than the rest of its species, maintaining a neat habit in garden borders. This hardy perennial is quick to flower and perfect for filling gaps in herbaceous borders. The blooms make an attractive cut flower too. Height: 90cm (35"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Culinary note: The flowers can be used as garnishes but are also dried and then cooked in Asian cuisine. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Campanula lactiflora in any moist, fertile, well drained, non-acidic soil. Campanula will thrive in sun or semi shade, but the dainty bell-flowers will last longer in a slightly shaded position.
More Info
Water regularly until Campanula plants are fully established. On exposed sites, support the tall flower stems with garden canes. After flowering, cut back the plants to remove faded Campanula flowers and promote a second flush of blooms. Campanula lactiflora will self-seed if the flower heads are left intact.
