Grown for its narrow, conical habit, Junipers chinensis 'Stricta' punctuates the garden with evergreen structure and formality all year round. This upright Chinese Juniper has aromatic, grey-green foliage and peeling bark when mature. A superb narrow conifer which forms a manageable specimen tree for smaller gardens, and requires virtually no maintenance. Height: 2.5m (8'). Spread: 60cm (2').

Plant Junipers in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any well drained soil; juniper trees tolerate dry, chalky or sandy soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply.
