What are Multi tools used for?

A multi tool is the perfect item to have in your pocket when you are out in the garden or doing odd jobs around the house. These pocket sized gadgets are the more practical version of a Swiss Army Knife. Usually kept in their own pouch that can be attached to a belt a multi tool can save you several trips back to the shed to get yet another piece of equipment.

All of these tools open out from the handles of the pliers from a neatly and cleverly folded design. From there a large variety of options are available to you. Pull out unwanted staples from your netting with the pliers, cut wire for plant supports or use the knife to cut just about anything. Also equipped with screwdrivers, files, mini saws, bottle-openers and other extremely useful mini tools, these clever little tools are a must have for your pocket.

These perfect little tools are ideal for Christmas or birthday presents for any gardener.

I’ve been gardening for as long as I can remember, my first earliest memory being planting Graham Ward
seeds in my Grandfather’s prestige flower bed and having a prize lettuce growing there, which he proudly left to show everyone.

Since then, gaining knowledge and experience from both my Grandfather and my Father, I’ve continued to garden, both as a hobby and later on as a professional gardener and landscaper for 12 years. I love all aspects of it, from the design and build, to the planting out of summer borders with plants you’ve either grown from seed or raised from plugs. Unusual varieties always catch my eye and I’m keen to try growing them, even if sometimes it means learning from my mistakes.
