Following the success of the very first climbing Fuchsia 'Lady Boothby', T&M started a process in 2007 to create a new colour of this fabulous new fuchsia variety. And this is it. The very first black double-flowered climbing fuchsia. I think it's just great for covering arches, trellis, walls and fences where it'll climb up to 2 metres in a season. Whether you're a total beginner or an 'old hand', you can rely on them for truly spectacular - and fairly foolproof - floral displays.
If you have always played it safe, then take the plunge and be more adventurous. This unusual little plant is one of my garden favourites; and you can always track it down in the garden by listening for the sound of buzzing bees. It's easy to grow too; at home in most soils and producing sprays of electric-blue, metallic blooms, which 'drip' with purple florets. Top tip:Make sure you use good quality multi-purpose compost when planting. It will ensure your plants look stunning for longer.
